Radek Čech, Ioan-Iovitz Popescu, Gabriel Altmann: Methods of analysis of the thematic concentration of the text
Abstract
The article scrutinizes the impact of the choice of type of meaningful unit (word-form, lemma, hreb) on the value of thematic concentration of texts. It further presents an analysis of diffuseness of texts which takes into account the so-called thematic words. A highly inflected language – Slovak – is used for all analyses involved.

Abstract
The aim of our experiment is to verify the validity of the Menzerath-Altmann law (MAL) applied to the standard form of contemporary written Chinese. The validity is verified using contemporary texts written in simplified characters. The first part of this article introduces contemporary written Chinese and the Chinese writing system. The second part presents the methodology. The last part of this paper analyses and interprets the data acquired from this experiment, then draws conclusions and suggests possibilities for further research.

Abstract
The aim of this article is to present an application of the Menzerath-Altmann law to contemporary spoken Chinese in order to verify its validity. In the following text there are the individual steps of the experiment described in sequence, namely choosing the auditory samples, the segmentation of the samples, processing and quantifying and finally evaluating and interpreting the graphs. In the conclusion we evaluate the results and suggest possibilities for further study.

Miroslav Frýdek: The Terminology of “Libri terribiles”
Abstract
The present article analyses the terminology of Roman criminal law which can be systematically found both in private law – ius privatum – and in public law – ius publicum. The paper focuses on the basic terminology which differentiates criminal private law and criminal public law. Delictum et crimen are the aforementioned terms. On the basis of chosen provisions from libri terribiles, the Institutes of Gaius and Justinian, an exegesis was carried out and these fragments were interpreted from the point of view of their systematic ordering, used terminology and kinds of sanctions.
